Melasti Beach is a big strip of white sand in Ungasan, south Bali (near the Uluwatu area), with a road carved into the tall limestone cliffs, giving it a stunning background.
This is a beautiful beach to relax on, and it’s becoming one of the most popular beaches in south Bali, with lots of new beach clubs and all the facilities you need.
Melasti Beach Bali: What To Expect
Melasti Beach has a long strip of white sand, clean turquoise water, and lots of facilities.
This is the southernmost point of Bali island, and there are a bunch of different fancy clubs lining the beachfront: Cattamaran, Minoo, and Palmilla.
Melasti is becoming one of the most popular beaches in south Bali, especially with locals and Asian tourists. People come here to do prewedding photos, watch the Balinese traditional Kecak dance, and enjoy the beach clubs.
The full length of this beach is about 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) of sand, or almost 2 kilometers if you include Karma Beach, which is connected to it on the west end.
At the entrance to Melasti Beach, there’s even a little photogenic Balinese style gate where you can take pictures.
How To Get To Melasti Beach
Melasti Beach is located in Ungasan, which is part of the Uluwatu area of south Bali.
The best way to get there is hire a private car and driver (both of these can be booked online). It’s a 45-60 minute drive from the Kuta area, depending on traffic.
At the bottom of the cliffs at Melasti is a wide parking area with space for a lot of cars and motorbikes.
